In controlled clinical studies involving 1,894 coating applications, there have been no serious adverse events attributed to Prevora. The rate of non-serious adverse events was 1.8 per 100 treatments. 94% of these events were in the oral cavity, almost all were considered "mild" and temporary, and consisted of: abnormal taste (45%), stinging of the oral mucosa (23%) and transient loss of taste (10%).
